Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations
A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation is the first step toward understanding your symptoms and developing an effective treatment plan. During this appointment, your psychiatric nurse practitioner will review your mental health concerns, medical history, current functioning, and treatment goals.
Following evaluation, we will collaborate to determine an individualized treatment approach, which may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing psychiatric follow-up care.

Our clinic provides evidence-based medication management for a wide range of mental health conditions. Treatment plans are tailored to each patient’s symptoms, response to medications, and overall health needs.

We are pleased to offer pharmacogenetic testing to support more personalized psychiatric treatment.
This advanced genetic test analyzes how your body may process and respond to medications commonly prescribed for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. Results may help your clinician identify medications that:
may require dose adjustments
may be less effective
may carry a higher risk of side effects

Telehealth Psychiatry Appointments
MindCare Matters offers secure tele-health appointments so patients can receive expert psychiatric care from the comfort of home. Telehealth visits allow for convenient evaluation, medication management, and follow-up care without the need for travel.
Service Policies
Prescriptions
Patients' prescriptions will be written with enough refills to last until the next appointment.
We recommend scheduling your next appointment at the end of each session so that we can be sure you are following your treatment plan and do not run out of medication.
Medication Refills
Medication refills are done during the appointment time only.
If something unexpected occurs, please have your pharmacy fax a refill request. Do not email or call about refills. Please allow up to five business days for the refill to be approved, if appropriate, and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Prescriptions
Controlled substances such as benzodiazepines and stimulants are tightly regulated by the DEA. These medications can be very useful when indicated but require more monitoring and must be part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
If you do not adhere to the agreed upon treatment plan, then we will be unable to continue to provide care to you. There will be no early refills of controlled substances for any reason.
